VISIONARY SOLUTIONS ARCHITECT – BIO, NANO, AND CHEMICAL TECHNOLOGIES
Job Description:
The Visionary Solutions Architect in the Bio, Nano, Chemical Technologies Practice will manage projects throughout their lifecycle from technology evaluation through solution deployment. Combining keen business acumen with a mastery of technology, you will help develop technology and work to deliver a robust, scalable architecture that will enable In-Q-Tel to execute its strategic plan.
Responsibilities:
- Assessing the competitive landscape of the technical field and then meeting with companies that offer the best products.
- Working with a team to develop strategies and enterprise architectures.
- Evaluating technologies and deals for their relevance and impact to the Intelligence Community's mission.
- Working with a team to negotiate and structure transactions with identified companies
- Preparing technical assessment reports and statements of work.
- Working with partners and potential partners on technical issues.
- Working with federal government agency users.
- Planning and supporting solution transfer efforts.
Qualifications:
- Commitment to continued understanding of new technologies and their strategic advantages.
- Experience proposing, securing, and executing research and development/engineering technical development programs.
- Comfortable with both spectroscopic and spectrometric sensor technologies.
- Comfortable with practical applications of materials technologies.
- Capable of analyzing complex problems, identifying root cause issues, generating a concise summary of analysis, and presenting recommendations to non-technical audiences; skilled at communicating highly technical information to non-technical audiences.
- Startup or entrepreneurial experience. .
- 3-5 years work experience.
- Doctorate in Physical Chemistry, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or equivalent.
- Familiarity with a biological science a plus.
- Active security clearance a plus.
